Feminist Lunch talks at University of Copenhagen

The Coordination for Gender Research invites to four Feminist Lunch Talks this autumn.

Four lunch talks at the University of Copenhagen will this autumn put focus on feminist aspects of themes like big data, gender diversity and girls in STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).

The Feminist Lunch Talks will all be online with a Zoom link sent to the participants.

It is free to participate, but with registration required for each event. Each event has a limit of 30 participants.

Program 

December 2nd, 12.00 - 13.00: Reflections on sexism, bodily autonomy and democracy in a digital and neoliberal era. Hanne Petersen,professor, Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen.

This work in progress will present reflections on research – from a perspective of legal culture – on the development of the concept of sexism, the understanding of bodily autonomy and development of democracy in a market society, where work is becoming ever more precarious, sexuality has become commercialized, and citizens’ rights have been weakened, while political culture has become digitalized.

October 28th, 12.00 - 13.00:Knowledge Hierarchies and Gender stratification in Danish Academia – Presentation of a new research project.
