8. marts: Climate Research - Intersectional and feminist visions

Seminar:

On International Women’s Day - 8th of March, the Coordination for Gender Research invite scholars to focus on intersectional, feminist and non-binary research on climate changes.

In particular, the presentations raise questions in regard to the concepts, structures, and concrete effects, these perspectives point to research. Following the presentations the will be a panel of researchers and policy makers discussing: How intersectional, feminist and non-binary gender research are implicated in the agenda and responses to climate changes and the quest for sustainability?

This event updates some of the issues raised at the 2009 conference Gendering Climate and Sustainability organized by the Coordination for Gender Research and the following special issue on Gendering Climate Change in the journal Women, Gender & Research. Since then then the new Gender Action Plan coming from COP25 has been introduced with the aim to strengthen gender considerations and women's participation in climate action. In particular the plans highlight the important role of women as agents of change.
