40 Years of China and Gender

Welcome to the resignation-event in honour of Cecilia Milwertz, senior researcher, NIAS - Nordic Institute of Asian Studies, University of Copenhagen.

Senior researcher Cecilia Milwertz is retiring and thus leaving NIAS and University of Copenhagen on July 1 2019.

Cecilia has been a pioneer within the field of research regarding gender and China, and she has creatively been building bridges between researchers from China and researchers from the Nordic Countries. She has had a coordinating function in several sino-nordic research networks, and she has been at the head of a number of path-breaking conferences concerning gender and China, in a sino-nordic as well as a global perspective.

Join the event and hear Cecilia narrate about her journey; from the Cultural Revolution to the post socialist China, as well as contributions from colleagues and friends. Join the celebration of a pioneer figure at a research field more relevant than ever!

Chinese tea and cake from La Glace will be served.
